The owner (s) of the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail remains a mystery, but there are plenty of contextual clues built into the Boat Tail that give us clues as to who was responsible for putting the world’s most expensive car into service. ten A temperature-controlled refrigerator to maintain the owners’ favorite drink

The Boat Tail’s miniature double refrigerator is designed to maintain a temperature of exactly six degrees Celsius, because that is the exact temperature that must be the vintages preferred by Armand de Brignac customers.

Rolls-Royce has not officially declared who owns the Boat Tail, but Armand de Brignac just happens to be Jay-Z’s personal brand of champagne.

9 Wristwatch on the dashboard use it as a clock

The Boat Tail uses a wristwatch for a central clock which is of course not an ordinary wristwatch. A pair of reversible timepieces which took three years to manufacture; one for the husband and one for the wife is what takes center stage in the Boat Tail. The couple who ordered this vehicle met with representatives of Bovet and played a role in the design and development of the timepieces. The timepiece can be worn or placed in the fascia of the boat tail in place of a conventional clock.

There is even a drawer located in the dashboard for additional watch bands, this level of care and attention would once again lead to the powerful couple Jay-Z and Beyonce as Jay-Z is known to be an avid collector of watches. 8 Engine manifold signed

The two people who were responsible for putting this bodied Rolls-Royce into service signed the engine manifold, but unfortunately there are no photos of their signatures on the engine yet.

Photos of their signatures on the collector would lead to confirmation of the purchase which is technically still unannounced. What we do know, however, is that the Boat Tail uses the Phantom’s 6.75-liter, 563-hp twin-turbo V12 engine.

7 Portable picnic for accommodation

Perhaps the most intriguing piece of the Boat Tail is its ability for the aft deck to open up and present a modern picnic on the go. The Boat Tail took Rolls-Royce staff four years, with a total of 20 man-hours to build. With every piece of Boat Tail handcrafted, it’s no wonder it took the Rolls-Royce team some time to complete this work of art.

The couple who commissioned the Boat Tail worked closely with the Rolls-Royce Coachbuilt team, working out the finer details and making sure the end product was exactly what the couple wanted it to be. As you can see from the photos provided, the customer really likes the color blue which can again mean the Carters as the owners as they have a daughter named Blue Ivy.

4 Shaped by a single piece of metal

The boat tail has been hand hammered to form and is shaped by a single piece of metal broken only by the doors. It is a profession which is not practiced often and generally only on custom-made vehicle constructions.

The aluminum space frame used for the Boat Tail is the same as that of the Phantom except for the length, as the Boat Tail is a 19ft long boat.

3 Aft deck offers a boat appearance

The aft “deck” turns into a portable picnic and this is what gives the Boat Tail its name. The push of a button moves its synchronized butterfly panels skyward, revealing a temperature-controlled accommodation suite accompanied by a polished and color-matched champagne refrigerator.

Looking at the tail of the boat from the side, the appearance of a boat coming out of the water is apparent, one can only imagine that when the vehicle is in motion it will appear to glide along the road like a boat would in the water.

2 Intricate interior seams

Rolls-Royce hasn’t fully revealed the inside of the Boat Tail, giving mysterious customers an extra layer of secrecy. However, some of the internal features have been announced, such as the leather lining that mirrors the exterior and additional hand-made stitching and piping to add more blue to the interior.

Taking a closer look at the inside of the Boat Tail, it appears to share its dashboard, center console, steering wheel, seats, and door panels with the older Phantom Drophead convertible. It seems the only major stylistic differences are the deck and of course the accommodation suite.
