The Genesis Collection event has a lot going on, but a common theme among most of them is that Revenant is absolutely spoiled. Apex Legends tends to leave some legends untreated, for a while, but when it rains, it rains. Revenant got a new Legendary skin, his Legacy and on top of all that he got a huge buff (granted, with a few nerfs mixed in). Now is the time for the main Revenant to cheer, and the time for the meta to shake, not stir. Let’s take a look at all of the major changes to Revenant in the Genesis Collection event update.
First of all, Revenant’s hitbox has been significantly reduced. There are two main areas where the size of the hitbox has been reduced: the arms and the waist. The new hitbox better adapts to the gangly nature of the killer robot’s arms and stays more true to its hourglass-like figure. These changes will allow Revenant to be a more underhanded and stealthy target.
stalker buff (passive)
It’s the change that excites us the most. Revenant’s climb height has been more than doubled. He can now climb even taller buildings. It is currently still silent, but if it is too loud in this way, sound might be added in the future. The climb is not unlimited, but it is really impressive. This may have been done to thwart Valkyrie’s ability to control heights. AKA: Valkyrie Mains… look where you perch now.
Skill duration nerves
Revenant’s Silence (Tactical) now only disables an enemy’s ability for 15 seconds, down from 20. The Death Protection duration for Revenant’s Death Totem (Ultimate) has also been reduced by 5 seconds. Nothing about the abilities themselves, or their cooldowns, has changed, only the duration times.
