Three Rivers, QC – The Jockey Club de Québec announced today (July 2) that as of Sunday (July 4), the 3R Hippodrome will be authorized to increase the number of harness racing spectators by 250 people.
H3R will now have 250 racing fans allowed in the outdoor section of the track and will be able to have an additional 250 spectators in the indoor section of the Clubhouse / Tribunal.
On the race track on Friday, Mickeymakesomespeed was the crushing 1/5 crowd favorite in the sixth Preferred Pace race and he didn’t disappoint his fans.
With a field reduced from two late scratches to just six horses, rider Samuel Fillion managed to send Mickeymaksomespeed straight to the front, then cram Farmers Tan (Francis Picard) into both holes by the opening quarter-mile in: 27 , 2.
From there it was a walk in the park for Mickeymaksomespeed as he completed the halftime in: 57.4 and three quarters in 1: 27.3 before heading to the wire to win by three quarters. in length in 1:57. Somewhere Bettor (Jocelyn Gendron) was second and Farmers Tan third.
It was the third win of the year for Mikeymaksomespeed, a four-year-old stallion by Mickey Hanover. He was raised and is owned and trained by Michel Allard de Saint-Espirt.
MICKEYMAKSOME SPEED REPLAY
Mickeymaksomespeed paid $ 2.40 to win and will return to H3R on Sunday to compete in another preferred handicap rhythm.
Track Notes: Samuel Fillion and Stéphane Gendron each scored driving triplets on Friday. Gendron has only one victory behind the leader of the competition Pascal Bérubé, 23 to 22 victories.
