The revised deal would extend Rose’s stay in Newcastle until the first weekend in August, if Newcastle made the England Cup Final.
The 29-year-old has been a mainstay of Steve brucesince arriving from London on a £ 1.8million loan deal, starting the majority of Newcastle’s games at left-back or left-back. His performances so far have been mixed, but he is a solid piece to have on the left side of the Newcastle defense who have struggled to replace the production of Jetro Willems.
Rose joins Lazaro as one of the few players who no longer have a bit of uncertainty over their eligibility as the Premier League restart approaches.
There are a few players, but the future of the club is not yet clear. One such player is Nabil Bentaleb, who is clearly not wanted by Schalke, but whose loan deal technically expires on June 30. It would be shocking if some sort of extension was not accepted by both clubs. With Ki leaving and Matty Longstaff’s future uncertain, Newcastle need all the help they can get in the midfield.
Andy Carroll and Jabier Manquillo are two players whose agreements expire on June 30. It is understood that some sort of short-term extension for both players is in the works. It would be shocking not to come to an agreement for each of the players to finish the season at a minimum. Manquillo has been the most productive comeback this season, and Andy Carroll is tied for most assists this season.
Matty Longstaff’s future hangs in the balance as the two sides still try to work on a new deal. Matty Longstaff is likely to get a new deal rather than just a short-term extension. .
Jamie Sterry and Jack colbackNewcastle’s times will likely end when their contracts expire at the end of June. Neither player has been heavily involved in first-team training this season and neither has trained with the club since training resumed.
Newcastle, along with many other clubs, are waiting to hear about the possibility of changing their 25-player rosters to include healthy players or new players or for the 25-player roster to be expanded to include players in good health. Given that the Premier League will operate with 5 submarines, it would make sense to expand the current rosters beyond the 25-man limit.
The first Premier League fixture list will start on Wednesday 19 June with Manchester city to assume Arsenal, and Sheffield united to assume Burnley. The first game of Newcastle’s resumption will take place against Sheffield United on Sunday 21 June.
