Blush is one of the most underrated makeup products, IMHO. It adds life, luminosity, femininity and a touch of color to the face that no other cosmetic can emulate. And this is the first product that I recommend for beginners in makeup because it is really this Well. And my favorite formula to date: cream blush.
The two main forms of blush are powder or cream, but the cream formulations are far superior. “The difference between powder blushes is that the powder sits on the skin and the cream adds a glow to the cheeks and looks more natural,” says celebrity makeup artist Nydia Figueroa. And since the cream formulas are much easier to mix, it makes it easy for you to customize your own blush look.
As for how to apply it, it is very simple and there is an option for everyone. Figueroa goes for a dense but soft brush like a kabuki as it works well to grab the cream blush and apply it. You can also use a beauty sponge which makes it practically foolproof when mixing. But for me, I prefer my fingers. I like to feel the blush on my fingers before applying it. This allows me to not add too much at once and build my coverage as I go. But really, the choice is yours.
Cream blushes are also great for all skin types. The magic is in the way you prepare and define the formula. If you have dry skin, be sure to apply a light moisturizer before applying your blush. And those with oily skin can set the blush with a translucent powder to keep it in place no matter what the day throws at them.
