John McGonigle launched the H-B1, the first watch under his solo Oileán brand, in 2021. It is a beautifully hand-finished triple calendar column-wheel chronograph, powered by a new and old Valjoux movement. 88 highly modified. While it doesn’t come cheap, Ian Skellern believes it to be the finest, hand-finished, best-value, complicated watch he’s ever seen.

After years of reflection, Bhanu Chopra took the plunge and purchased both a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm and a Submariner Reference 114060.
